Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

Qoph

This is the nineteenth section of Psalm 119 – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances. I journal thorough each verse.

Qoph.

145 I cried with all my heart; answer me, O Lord!
I will observe Your statutes.

Father, I cry with all my heart; please answer me, Lord!
I’ll listen to you and do whatever you say.

146 I cried to You; save me
And I shall keep Your testimonies.

Save, me, Lord; I cry to you,
Save me and I will follow you all my days.

147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I wait for Your words.

Early in the morning I cry to you for help;
I wait for your loving words.

148 My eyes anticipate the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.

I lie awake at night praying to you,
And meditating on your word.

149 Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness;
Revive me, O Lord, according to Your ordinances.

Hear my cry, Lord, with your holy love and grace;
Revive and renew me, Lord, with your holy word.

150 Those who follow after wickedness draw near;
They are far from Your law.

Many who chase after wickedness invade my world;
They mock you and your law.

151 You are near, O Lord,
And all Your commandments are truth.

Lord, I know you are near,
And I know you and your words are the Truth.

152 Of old I have known from Your testimonies
That You have founded them forever.

I have known your word from my youth,

Your word is eternal and forever.

Blessings, Dottie

Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

This is the eighteenth section of Psalm 119 – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances.

Tsadhe.

137 Righteous are You, O Lord
And upright are Your judgments.

Father, You are right and true, my Lord,
And Your ways are good and just

138 You have commanded Your testimonies in righteousness
 And exceeding faithfulness.
 Your commands and your word are good and just,   And teach us to be faithful to you.

139 My zeal has consumed me,Because my adversaries have forgotten Your word. My utter devotion to you consumes me,But skeptics have forgotten you and your words.

140 Your word is very pure,Therefore Your servant loves it.
 Your word is so very pure and true,So your child of faith loves it.

141 I am small and despised,Yet I do not forget Your precepts.
 Even though my influence is small and even disliked,I will not forget your word or you.

142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,  And Your law is truth.
 Father your goodness and mercy are eternally good and merciful, and your law is truth.

143 Trouble and anguish have come upon me,Yet Your commandments are my delight.
 Trouble and difficulty visit me,Yet your word and laws are my joy.

144 Your testimonies are righteous forever;Give me understanding that I may live.

 Father, your words are eternally good and trueGive me spiritual understanding that I may live in Christ. Blessings, Dottie

Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

This is the seventeenth section of Psalm 119 – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances.  Pe
129 Your testimonies are wonderful;                                                                                   Therefore my soul observes them.

Father, Your commands are life-giving;                                                                                And so my soul lives by them.

130 The unfolding of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.

The opening of new layers of your word gives new light;
It brings wisdom to the humble at heart.

131 I opened my mouth wide and panted,
For I longed for Your commandments.

Father, I’m eager and breathless.
Waiting for Your guidance and wisdom.

132 Turn to me and be gracious to me,
After Your manner with those who love Your name.

Look on me, shine on me and be gracious to me,
As you do with those who adore your name.

133 Establish my footsteps in Your word,
And do not let any iniquity have dominion over me.

Establish my firm and focused path in your word,
And don’t let any sin have sway over me.

134 Redeem me from the oppression of man,
That I may keep Your precepts.

Father, Save me from the coruption of our culture,
So I will follow your laws.

135 Make Your face shine upon Your servant,
And teach me Your statutes.

Show me your glorious face, Your follower and friend,
And teach me your ways.

136 My eyes shed streams of water,
Because they do not keep Your law.

Father, I cry buckets of tears
Because the wicked do not keep your law and do not know you.

Blessings, Dottie

Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

This is the sixteenth section of Psalm 119 – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances. I'm journaling through it verse by verse.

Ayin. February 8, 2016

121 I have done justice and righteousness;
Do not leave me to my oppressors.

Father, I have kept your just laws and surrendered my life to you;
Don’t abandon me to this corrupt and lost world.

122 Be surety for Your servant for good;
Do not let the arrogant oppress me.

Father, Go to bat for me, your Christ follower for good;
Don’t let proud, know-it-all acquaintances get me down.

123 My eyes fail with longing for Your salvation
And for Your righteous word.

Father, My eyes yearn to see the salvation of family members; for your word to penetrate their hearts.

124 Deal with Your servant according to Your lovingkindness
And teach me Your statutes.

Father, Be gentle with me according to your great love,
I’m a work in progress, teach me your Word.

125 I am Your servant; give me understanding,
That I may know Your testimonies.

Lord, I am yours, I bow before you, give me discernment,
So I will follow Your will and way in all my days ahead.

126 It is time for the Lord to act,
For they have broken Your law.

Father, I believe it is about time for You to act,
The world is lost and many don’t value or keep your law.

127 Therefore I love Your commandments
Above gold, yes, above fine gold.

Father, Thank you for drawing me back so I love and worship you and support your church, I value this knowledge above all else, it is more precious than anything else.

128 Therefore I esteem right all Your precepts concerning everything,
I hate every false way.

Father, I value highly all your directions for life, your will for everything,
I cringe and despise every false way.

Blessings, Dottie

Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

Samekh                                                                                                                               This is the fifteenth section of Psalm 119 – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances.

Samekh.

113 I hate those who are double-minded,
But I love Your law.

Father, I hate those who are two-faced,
But I love your transparent law.

114 You are my hiding place and my shield;
I wait for Your word.

Father, You are my hiding place and my refuge of protection;
I listen for your guidance.

115 Depart from me, evildoers,
That I may observe the commandments of my God.

Scram Satan and all demons,
I plan to obey the commandments of my God in Christ Jesus.

116 Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live;
And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.

Father, Keep me close according to your word, protect my life;
And don’t let me lose my hope in you.

117 Uphold me that I may be safe,
That I may have regard for Your statutes continually.

Hold on to me so I will be safe in you,
So I will continue to respect and follow your rules.

118 You have rejected all those who wander from Your statutes,
For their deceitfulness is useless.

You reject those who wander from your moral laws,
Their apostasy is terrible and useless.

119 You have removed all the wicked of the earth like dross;
Therefore I love Your testimonies.

Father, You remove all the wicked from the earth like garbage;
I so love your wisdom and Word.

120 My flesh trembles for fear of You,
And I am afraid of Your judgments.

Father, My skin tingles in reverence and fear of you,
And I am in awe of your judgments and plans.

Blessings, Dottie

Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

This is the fourteenth section of Psalm 119 – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances.

Nun.

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

Father, Your Word sheds bright light in my life,
And a light leading me on the path of your will for me.

106 I have sworn and I will confirm it,
That I will keep Your righteous ordinances.

I have surrendered all to you and confirm it here,
This means I will be true to your law and Word.

107 I am exceedingly afflicted;
Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.

Father, I am some times very upset;
When I turn to you, you revive me as your word promises.

108 O accept the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord,
And teach me Your ordinances.

Father, Accept the praises and thanks offered to you,
Continue to teach me your Holy Word.

109 My life is continually in my hand,
Yet I do not forget Your law.

My life is controlled by my hand,
Yet I don’t forget you and your precious way.

110 The wicked have laid a snare for me,
Yet I have not gone astray from Your precepts.

Father, the wicked world lays many snares for me,
Yet I stand strong in following your precepts.

111 I have inherited Your testimonies forever,
For they are the joy of my heart.

Father as a child of the king I have inherited your testimonies forever,
And they are they joy of my heart.

112 I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes
Forever, even to the end.

Father I bend my heart to do your will,
Forever and even to the end.

Blessings, Dottie

Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

This is the thirteenth section of Psalm 119 – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances.

Mem. February 5, 2016

97 O how I love Your law!
It is my meditation all the day.

Father, I love your Word!
I ponder and feed on your word every day.

98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies,
For they are ever mine.

Your commands and precepts and word make me wiser than unbelievers,
For your way is eternal and will be mine forever.

99 I have more insight than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my meditation.

Father, I have more insight than some of my former teachers,
Your Way and Truth are my daily contemplation.

100 I understand more than the aged,
Because I have observed Your precepts.

I grasp more than many believers of all ages,
Because I study and follow your laws and your way of love.

101 I have restrained my feet from every evil way,
That I may keep Your word.

Father, I keep my eyes and mind and my actions from evil ways,
That I may be true to you and your Word.

102 I have not turned aside from Your ordinances,
For You Yourself have taught me.

I will not and have not drifted away from your teaching,
For You Yourself have touched me and taught me.

103 How sweet are Your words to my taste!
Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Your words are delicious and nourishing to me!
Yes, sweeter than ice cream to my mouth!

104 From Your precepts I get understanding;
Therefore I hate every false way.

Father, from your Word I gain understanding of you;
Therefore I deplore and pray against every false way.

Blessings, Dottie

Psalm 119 Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God

This is the twelfth section of Psalm 119 (I counted wrong last month or so) – the longest chapter and the longest Psalm in the Bible. There are 8 different terms referring to Scripture used through out. These are: law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, word and ordinances.

Lamedh.

89 Forever, O Lord,

Your word is settled in heaven.

Father, You are eternal, everlasting, never changing,
Your Word is true and permanent in heaven.

90 Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations;
You established the earth, and it stands.

Your faithfulness extends to all people, all ages;
You created the earth, and keep it in its orbit,

91 They stand this day according to Your ordinances,
For all things are Your servants.

Your laws are relevant even today because they are true,
And everything fulfills your plans.

92 If Your law had not been my delight,
Then I would have perished in my affliction.

If I had never delighted in your law,
I wouldn’t know you and I would be lost forever.

93 I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have revived me.

From now on I will never forget your Spirit drawing me,
You opened the eyes of my heart and rescued me!

94 I am Yours, save me;
For I have sought Your precepts.

I am Yours, You saved me;
I seek your Word and obey it.

95 The wicked wait for me to destroy me;
I shall diligently consider Your testimonies.

The evil culture trys to lure me and kill me,
I will eagerly and carefully focus on your Word.

96 I have seen a limit to all perfection;
Your commandment is exceedingly broad.

I see that even perfection is limited,
But your commandments are amazingly beyond perfect!
